Instead of fighting the war against drugs....They need to fight the war against extreme poverty  .😢😢😢

It is curious how DEA officials talk about the victims with "a lot of sadness and pain" when the reality is that the drug business and the crime that it entails is because it is a big business, especially because of the demand that exists in The US . The US puts up arms, opening the roads for them to illegally leave its territory and for drugs to enter, equally illegally, into its territory. and the producing countries put in the dead. Eventually, due to consumption, the dead also come. El Chapo and Escobar did not fall because they were drug traffickers, they fell because they went outside the script and limits that the DEA set for them. The proof is that today with Escobar dead and El Chapo in prison, their cartels continue providing the drugs that the US needs and consumes.

The fact that you come from poor and humble beginnings, get super wealthy in the drug trade risking your life and freedom along with the lives of those around you, but still cant get out after making all that money shows this is the wrong life to get yourself involved in

We need more documentary movies narrated by this man. I literally could watch these documentaries non stop because of the narration

Supply vs demand, there's no end in sight for drugs .....let's shift our focus in ending poverty instead

So much respect to those Colombian police and the Los Pepes. Especially for the police, how much easier it would have been to be bribed and to be corrupt but they kept fighting. Shows how much we can do when we fight together for a common cause

PS. Joe Toft is one of those cops that never got mentioned in "Narcos" or any other series or movie - and he will never be. Much of what he did, was attributed to Pena in the series.

The drug stories from colombia always intrigued me. So much i went there. I met his sister at her house and she showed me alot of diff pictures and told me stories about him but she didnt see him like the world did because he treated her so kind. Their family split after he died over the money. When i visited his gravesite, they also had griselda blanco at the same cemetery
