Back in an era where the 'okay' films were still great and looked like a million bucks.

Imagine having Bruce Campbell ...but not having him as one of the main characters. Insanity.

 Fun Fact:
Stan Winston — who did the ape effects
in "CONGO" — was to do more ape effects
for two planned-but-cancelled "Planet
of the Apes" remakes in the 1990s that
were to star Arnold Schwarzenegger as the
main human lead.

"What if you were offered a chance to appear in a movie based on a Michael Crichton novel?
It will be directed by veteran Frank Marshall.
Stan Winston will handle the special effects, and it will be a big budget Paramount production.
Sounds good?
Congratulations, you just made Congo."
Bruce Campbell:)

The hippo scene scared the shit outta me as a kid. Very memorable theater experience. Yes it’s a “bad” film but bad films were still entertaining back in the day
