The federal government maintains and controls military housing. Making housing value meaningless. The UCMJ controls community standards, and civilian authorities control none of the housing; the Base has no control over private property. Her claims of harassment end at the gate, on the fence surrounding the housing, and with the armed military guards manning the gate. (The trees she tried to cut down are AI boilerplate and not relevant to the story). If she lives in housing, then she needs to learn how to explain why his wife ended his military career, because the military is not Democratic and under the Constitution, but an authoritarian government or an authoritarian regime controlled by the UCMJ, and the servicemen get punished for the behavior of family members on base. (The reason I have not lived in housing for 23 years is that in the civilian world you need a warrant and civilian authority to enter your house, but on base you do not.)
