  Ladies, talking about the size of the US and European perception. I lived in Germany for 8 years. When I moved back to the USA on a Friday afternoon I got a random call a German friend that he was in Chicago for work and wanted to come see me in Texas. His return flight was on Sunday. I was like cool you can fly down today and we can spend 24 hrs together, and he was like I got a rental car and was going to drive. I was like well you could do that but you will not make our flight on Sunday. He had thought Chicago to Houston couldn&apos;t be more than a few hours drive. Not 17-18 hours. LOL!

  There&apos;s a shared joke between the UK and the US, &quot;Americans think a hundred years is a long time and British think a hundred miles is a long way.&quot; And what makes it funny is that it&apos;s true. To an American a hundred miles is a short drive and to a Brit a hundred years is like yesterday.

  Los Angeles is about a 6 1/2 hour flight from Boston. It&apos;s almost 2,600 miles (about 4,100 kilometers) and would take about 40 hours to drive nonstop. Moscow is closer to Madrid than Los Angeles is to Boston.

  The crooked edges in most states are because the border follows a river. You two are great together and should come to America together with your dad and rent an RV to do a road trip from California and up the coast through Oregon and Washington and then go through Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Colorado, Utah, Arizona, Nevada and back to California to fly home. You will be able to see the most beautiful National Parks and State Parks along the way. It will take you at least 6 weeks if you stop to see everything. Your subscribers will help you with funding and you will also get to see a lot of us in person and we can give you advice on things to see. I live in Montana and we drive from our home through Idaho, Utah and Nevada to go to Vegas once a year. It is about 1100 miles and takes about 16 hours. We drive it straight through and then after a week we drive 250 miles to the Grand Canyon for a few days and then 250 miles back to Vegas for 2 more days and then drive 1100 miles back home. It&apos;s an easy drive because of all the beautiful scenery you see.
