Tony Dorsett in his autobiography said he barely played in the second half of SB 13 (just three rushes) after having a great first half. He was talking to Steeler players some time after the game who said his absence in the second half took a lot of pressure off of them. Tony said the conversation was salt on his wounds...

Dwight White was born & raised in Dallas....Randy White was born in Pittsburgh....Joe Greene was born & raised deep in the heart of Texas (Temple).....Ernie Holmes, Joel Steed, Casey Hampton also from Texas....Mike Ditka & Tony Dorsett grew up in Aliquippa PA.....SO many connections between these franchises....Dwight White, a product of Dallas high school football, attended college at East Texas State, where as an upperclassman was roommates with & mentored another Dallas area football player named Harvey Martin. Martin would end up in Dallas, D White in Pittsburgh. Martin & RANDY White became the only defensive Super Bowl co-MVPs in history, but DWIGHT White ended up with more Super Bowl rings......Lots of respect to you Steelers from this Cowboys fan but I have to say that whenever I attend a Cowboys game in Pittsburgh my Boyz win! (1994, 1997, 2016) For all the talk about "blue collar" Pittsburgh the Cowboys dominated the line of scrimmage in those games...but those are now distant memories, while you guys are starting to say "fire Tomlin" I've been saying "Fire J Jones" for years lol...that said it's ALWAYS special when these teams play!........btw you're lucky we didn't have Bob Lily at DT in those Super Bowls, that first Championship team in many ways was the best we had....

The first time they faced each other in the Superbowl, the Steelers were the returning champs. The second time they faced each other, the Cowboys were returning champs. Funny how nobody ever mentions that, because I think that's pretty cool.
