going back and seeing this again after watching netflix's new show "Trust Me: False Prophet" and knowing the lady running the store was trying to save these people all along. I knew I recognized her from somewhere. I remembered this video and had to see if it was the same lady.

He is guilty. His own daughter has shared what he did to her from 8 years old . These people are very nice but still very brainwashed.

I’ve been obsessed with watching the show “escaping polygamy”

I’m so intrigued by the way this “community” thinks and goes upon things.
Being brainwashed is 100% a thing!

I dont really give a heck what the media says or what they exaggerate about the FLDS. The fact that adult men are marrying girls is an undisputed fact, so how nice these people are to outsiders doesnt really matter. The abuse is going on inside the community.

I grew up in this cult and I have some things to share. I left in 2019 because I wanted to move on with my life. There came a point when I realized that I was going to be going to work and going back home for the rest of my life. I wanted to experience things, I wanted to experience a relationship, and I wanted to reconnect with my brother who had left 8 years before. It was not a horrible place to grow up, and it probably isn't horrible now. That being said, there was a period of about 7 years (which felt like a lifetime) when Warren Jeffs was really cracking down on everyone! When I was 16 I was judged unworthy to be a part of the church but told that if I kept obeying the prophet and the authority over me I could then earn to be rebaptised into the church. That never happened for me. Myself and two younger siblings were made to live separate from our youngest siblings and we're to have no contact with them at all. Then two years later my parents were told in a "revelation" from Warren to leave the community until they were invited back. That never happened! He then went on over the next several years to send revelation after revelation each one more drastic and restricting than the ones before, telling us what we could eat, how we must clean, and that if we didn't follow these strict rules we would be "destroyed".

I think that the media misrepresents so many things about this culture. The one thing that not many people mention or think about is that these "revelations" stopped coming to the people and everyone was forced to start thinking for themselves and making their own opinions. They weren't being told anymore what they were supposed to say, or think, or do. So they had to start making those decisions for themselves and stop spouting the things they were told to say, or think, or do.

So when the ladies in this video say, "if someone wants to have a baby, that's their decision." Yes, it is now! When there was a clear heirarchy, they would have been judged and sent away for that. They can have toys now, but there was a time when people would judge you for owning a jump rope. There was an infamous quote from Warren Jeffs that went like this, "the way to spell Zion is w-o-r-k." Children were told they don't need toys, they need to learn how to work and bless others.

The long and short of it is, Warren Jeffs is a bad man. That doesn't mean that these people are bad people. Thank God that Warren is no longer mentally stable enough to control them!

I had to drive thru this town as I moved to Arizona in 2002. My friends car overheat and we had to sit on the side of the road for about 45 mins to cool down. We were watched the entire time, asked what we were doing there, and then followed by 3 vehicles as we left. They followed for 15 miles. The pedophiles that control this town are terrifying.

Y’all should interview Rachel Jeff’s. She’s got a really interesting story and she’s got the experience to give some good insight.

I’ve never seen anyone regret leaving a cult. They may miss family members but never regret the choice. So sad to see people call themselves fundamentalist. Nothing good ever comes of that.

You can’t be this unobjective when it comes to the flds everyone knew minors were getting married and no one stopped it! It’s sick what the flds has done and is probably still doing!!!

When asked if someone is guilty, if you truly believed they weren't, then you would say, "Absolutely not." The woman in blue said, "I have never experienced anything," meaning he didn't do it to her personally, but he's capable of doing it to someone else. Their answers are very, very carefully worded.
