  Fun fact: The Yamato was equipped with a special anti-air round for her main 46 cm guns called San Shiki (also known ass Beehive rounds) which were a combined &nbsp;shrapnel and incendiary rounds that were suppose to prove dangerous to aircraft. She was also equipped with special dye flack ammo for her anti-air guns, each a different color for different section of the ships anti-air system so that the crew could better see where their rounds where going and better adjust their firing.

  There was nearly 400 planes that hit the Yamato. So the visual of the sky would be much, MUCH more terrifying
