"The House in the Woods" is an exceptionally gripping introduction to the Atticus Priest series. Mark Dawson masterfully sets a dark, atmospheric scene, pulling you right into a chilling investigation where layers of deception must be peeled back one by one. The tense pace and sharp character development keep you hooked from the very first chapter. I’ve always been drawn to mysteries that combine a haunting setting with a deeply layered plot, which is exactly why I’ve dedicated myself to bringing more high-quality, immersive audio experiences to life on my own channel. It’s a real thrill to share these sharp, edge-of-your-seat crime dramas with a community that loves a brilliant piece of detective work! 👍

Excellent story brought to life by equally good narration. Atticus is an interesting character and I could certainly see this series on the tele. Thanks for uploading.

Thank you. This was an engaging book. I haven’t listened or read a British murder mystery for a long time and they are the best!

I really enjoyed this book. I did find the advertisements in the first half of the book every five minutes most annoying but I persevered and am so glad I did.
This thriller is full of surprises, and the ending was amazing.
I highly recommend this book. Thank -you for sharing and the narrators did an excellent job. ❤

Great narration. Happy to hear a real person reading a story that a real person wrote. There are lots of channels that are just ai stories with ai narrators.

This ended up being really good. I almost quit listening a few times because I thought it was just another formulaic inspector novel, but the ending was interesting and I liked some of the character development. I’ll keep on with the series.
