  Thanks so very much for the very detailed breakdown man - I really needed this. I am a DIYer working on my older Benzes (2002 - 2018) and was  looking at buying the Pros 3 V5. Now that you have highlighted the more important differences, I just really want to get advanced Variant coding stuff (I manual-swapped my CLK55 and need some extra coding work) so I realize that the Pros V5 will be more than adequate for me. Great job summing it up for us Sir!

  Thanks for making this video. The bidirectional, coding and advanced features don’t work for manufactures who have implemented the security gateway when the tool is out of subscription. You can’t even clear the check engine light on cars wit security gateway!. &nbsp;Chrysler, Nissan, Ram, Alfa, VW/Audi and Mercedes. The list is growing. &nbsp;The scan tool must have a current subscription and a subscription from AutoAuth, along with internet access or the tool will not give access to bidirectional or advanced features. Everything else he said is correct. Topology. 😊

  Only thing with having so many other separate tools built in one such as TPMS tools Heavy Duty tool Jay box.. one goes all go lol.. your scanner goes now your out a tpms tool you can’t do anything if sent out for repairs.. but definitely pretty cool

  You are correct, Launch really needs to change their naming convention. &nbsp;<br><br>I have the X-431 V+, i do love using the bluetooth battery tester.<br><br>How this stacks up to the pro tools, I have no idea and you need to be careful what site you buy these things for support. Also, not all Launch add ons work with my model.
