The show changed everyone's lives as well. It's one of the greatest shows of all time. Animated or not.

Aang and tagah are the perfect way to describe the difference between an airbender, and an air nomad. Aang was raised with those values, even when he experiences the worst things that could happen to a person, he won't turn around and inflict more hurt on others. That's why what he says to Sonam at the end is so powerful, the best part of an air nomad is their values. Of course he missed flying through the skies with someone, but it's their beliefs, not their bending, that makes them and Aang so strong. And when Gyatso tells him that he must be prepared to do what frightens him most, hes talking about letting go of what could be the only way to return air bending to the world, the staff. Sonam herself couldn't destroy the staff, even though she knew it had been used with bad intentions, because she was also scared of a potential future where there were no airbenders.

Great reaction! I also loved it and had many of your concerns, but it is so incredibly beautiful and it's so good to have them back that it didn't tarnish my enjoyment at all! Cheers from Brazil 🇧🇷
