  I needed to hear this right now man.. I think the exact same way as this guy - in the sense of being masculine and gay and not fitting in anywhere. Glad to hear there are others feeling the same way !

  As a gay man I never come out to people. I just let them in. I never had to need to tell people what I do behind close doors. I don’t understand why we have to explain ourselves to others. and I’m 55 years old and I’ve been gay since I was seven. it started being sexually acted at age 20. and I felt accepted by everybody. There was no taboo no shame by others cause I was just myself. so next time they ask you when are you coming out? You respond with this no honey I’ll let you in.

  I've done it all: the good, the bad and the ugly. Went through self-hatred and became  an angry person that fought with people. Lots of great words from Andrew- I share a lot of what he talked about here. Peace is definitely something different than an emotion and it is worth changing to get some. I have always felt that growing up with someone else's blueprint (straight folks) and nobody teaching me what I truly needed to know, I had to live by trial and error with a lot of really bad advice and it wasn't until I was middle aged did I start to "get it" and value myself more. Also therapy, and recovery has helped so much. I take responsibility for my own actions and try to talk about things rather than hide and pretend now. I love that Andrew wrote this and I can't wait to read it. And let's face it- he is also fine. LOL Thank you for this episode guys!

  You can really see the age difference here, Andrew is speaking about people and emotions and tackling stereotypes and the two younger guys keep bringing the conversation back to prescriptive categories, masc. fem, top , bottom, black, white.  This is a great example of how younger generations are regressing.

  What a good conversation. Comparing a body to a house starts to get wonky when you take it out of a western abrahamic context i.e. if I&apos;m buddhist, then the house and everything inside it is not as valuable since Buddhism teaches detaching from earthly pleasures (point being the way we see our possessions can differ). We gotta be careful with &quot;high value&quot; thought because it leads down conservative roads. Also, words do mean things and slut does have a negative connatation to it. Saying you should be ok with being called a slut because &quot;its true&quot; would be like if a white person told me i should be ok with being called negro because &quot;that&apos;s what you are&quot; <br>Great episode

  Sex isn&apos;t a one-way exchange. All partners involved are providing access to their bodies. House keys aren&apos;t being given away randomly but exchanged randomly. All involved assume some risk.

  His take &quot;Being gay doesn&apos;t look like anything. &nbsp;It&apos;s just an attraction to the same sex.&quot; is spot on. &nbsp;I think this clarity is what has become muddled and lost in the LMNOP LGBTQIA+ (until the next letter is added) alphabet soup. &nbsp;For this reason, I identify as Same Sex Attracted, full stop. &nbsp;I do not identify with any of the alphabet soup, particularly because some of those letters connote typical characteristics that do not apply to me (the G part typically associated closely with feminine attributes), and some are identities that have nothing to do with me at all (the TQIA+ part). &nbsp;Also, to me, the B for Bi which I technically could claim, is irrelevant because it&apos;s just a way of claiming a semblance of heteronormative acceptance, when the real differentiating identity, in common, is really same sex attraction (especially where the broader society is concerned). &nbsp;Same Sex Attracted goes right to the point without all the other inapplicable &quot;extra&quot; bolted on and is my true sexual identity and community.
