“Those Shoes” 👠 is a rare performance of Double-Talk Box solo with their guitars, Don Felder and Joe Walsh harmonize to mimic the sound of mechanical choir or two brassy instruments. 🎸 🗣🎶🎸🗣🎶🔥 I line were he says “They give you tablets of love” are they talking about Ecstasy? You need to do “Life in the Fast Lane” and “Witchy Woman” all bangers! 🙌🗣🎶🎸🗣🔥🔥

A must listen to now is James Gang "Funk #49" featuring Joe Walsh on leads. Similar sound to beginning of this song

Joe Walsh coming into the band right before the Hotel California album definitely drove them in a more rock and less country direction. He was already a well-established rock icon since the late '60's with James Gang and as a solo artist.

Music written by Don Felder. Double talk boxes with guitars performed by Felder and Joe Walsh, meant to mimic speech. Lyrics by Felder, with help from Henley and Frey. The song is supposed to be commentary on shallow vanity and pointless attention.

There is a lot of this swagger in Don Henley’s solo work… “Dirty Laundry”, “I Will Not Go Quietly”, “All She Wants To Do Dance”, “How Bad Do You Want It”….

I’m always amazed by people who have not heard all of the Eagles songs. Guess I’m lucky that this is my era of music. Top band! ❤️
