Looking for more Necromunda fun? I built a GIANT Space Marine statue for our next campaign: https://youtu.be/so0z9ZL8vZc

Even in Space Marine 2, there are dead marines dotted around. But they all kept their helmets on - only bare-headed marines are immortal

Tabletop Marines are absolutely Lore-Accurate! You just painted your Lamenters wrong, that's all.

A whole unit (army?) painted up by 5 different painters doing their interpretation of a theme with unified basing would be sick.

White Dwarf 300 - Movie Marine rules. Rules for the current edition of 40k at the time. It was 1 Tactical squad and 1 Rhino at 1500pts. Officially printed rules in white dwarf. they were all monstrous creatures. a Boltgun had 4 shots with rending, the Krak missile launcher basically one tapped whatever big target it shot. Designed to take on far larger pointed armies with just a unit of Tactical Marines. Go grab a copy online and go nuts. Rules exist, granted for an older edition, but Gamesworkshop actually released rules.

Didn't they include imperial guardsmen models in necromunda using 40k-ish space marine stat blocks at some point? Because the stat jump felt 'about right for starved, drug-addled teenagers going up against trained military'

I’d love to see you guys do a “how to play Necromunda” video some day!

I ran a Necromuda campaign back in the nineties. For one month the main event was a single Imperial Fist looking to "recruit" juves turning up randomly during games. The stats were 10s across the board, never pinned, it could choose to have it's shooting phase before movement, a bolter which never runs out of ammo, frag and krak, and a 3+ on 2d6 for power armour!

SM2 did marine balance pretty well, since it didnt have to worry about how their marines would be to fight against and input skill is a very useful factor to balance with that you don't really get on the tabletop.
It is important to consider that while you can kill over one-thousand enemies over a campaign, every time you die that is it, the game has to wind back time to respawn you because Titus is just dead. Marines will slaughter hundreds of foes then die in a matter of seconds because the venom cannon cares not for the epicness of your lore, only the structural integrity of your skull. They're tough, fast, lethal, utterly terrifying and still completely mortal, it just dosent look it until they're pasted across the pavement.
It's just the right balance of power fantasy and tension, you get the absolute badassery while knowing that it could go from utter slaughter to a slain battle-brother in one split-second mistake.

This is probably one of the best videos I've seen from you, highlighting a rare gem of a game, Necromunda, and the actual point of the hobby. Its not the meta, its not the online community, its the time spent with friends.

Many, many, many moons ago there was a White Dwarf article that had movie marines as the theme. Effectively a 5 man squad and an Captain was a 2k point army.

The lore disparity doesn't feel right until you realize a pulse rifle is better than a bolt gun, elder use mono filaments and necron guns literally delete you
