  Years ago I had a very large goose named Willamina,  her best friend was our shepherd mix Joe.  One afternoon a cop was at my house. In  my yard  pointing his finger at Joe saying, that he thinks he saw him out of the yard. As  he talked To  Willie  came up behind him and softly hissed . He took no notice, again she hissed ,a little bit louder. Again no notice. The third hiss was loud and long. He took a look and turned to leave. She gave him a pinch on his back side  , like a little pair of pliers. He ran out of my yard, the goose chasing him up the middle of the street, the dog going after his goose friend who was running like geese do, wings outstretched and a a couple of feet between them. I wished that I had been able to get a video 🙂 I was laughing so hard chasing the dog who was helping his goose who was chasing a screaming cop up the street.  He never did come back to give me a ticket for a dog at large.

  Most of these are funny, but allowing dogs to chase and scare wildlife, is mean. If it was the other way around most would kill the wild animal.
