Most Korean Muslims are converts/reverts but there are Muslim born Koreans too. Hijab is obligatory but as someone mentioned before, some Muslims do not follow this rule. However, we are taught not to judge because what is most important is the moment before they die. Islam is a deen or way of life and we are taught to live for life after death (hereafter). We do eat meat that is slaughtered according to Islamic rite. We cannot eat pork, reptiles, or any animals with fangs and claws. We don't drink alcohol too.

Halal is a dietary law derived from Islamic teachings, meaning “lawful or permitted.” On the contrary, foods that are not considered halal are considered haram or “not permitted.” Because there are many culturally diverse places worldwide, with more to develop over time, it's important to cater to a wide range of ...Muslims can eat meat but only halal meat... halal meat is very difficult to find in non-Muslim countries...
