At age 61, I now spend time regularly at chess just as mental exercise to slow aging. A big thing that is difficult at this age is just the mental energy. After going through a number of variations, you get tired and reluctant to immediately go back again and keep exploring. However, as you learn more patterns and intuitions, this "chunking", as they call it in cognitive science, hopefully will make it much easier and less energy consuming. Thank you for your outstanding material, the best on the internet.
