  The Werehog actually has another early design that looks so much more akin to Sonic, except his quills have black tips instead of white tips, his eyes are milky white, his ears are tipped with black, his gloves actually stayed on and his shoes are frilled instead of being spiky! Plus, instead of taking on a werewolf-like appearance, it feels as though the Werehog was originally intended to be a Jekyll and Hyde-esque form and based loosely on Dark Super Sonic from Sonic X!

  Apparently the way to drift in the preview build was to pull the stick back and then immediately turn either left and right. It&apos;s even in the final game according to the cutting room floor

  FYI quite a bunch of the &quot;unused&quot; concept art areas ended up being utilised for the Wii/PS2 version instead, e.g. the Cool Edge underground sections for its day act, and the Jungle Joyride swamp ruins for its night act

  I prefer that more detailed boost effect from the leaked trailers, looks like extreme (and i mean extreme) wind resistance from moving at insane speeds, would&apos;ve been nice to hear the music distortion with that boost effect in the final game<br><br><br>Oh, and that supposed early design of dark gaia looks like the boss fight would&apos;ve been very different (probably better tho lol) maybe could&apos;ve been for an earlier encounter with a weaker dark gaia idk (or it coulda been one of those temple guardians like the pheonix or that one with the hammer)<br><br>I also wonder if that animation of sonic boosting with his arms, just really putting it all into that boost implies a higher level of boost, maybe tied to the fact that in the final game, sonic can boost at higher speeds the more rings he has (with the limit seemingly being around 1300 rings, I&apos;ve timed &amp; tested it using the spagonia running track mod)
