I agree SO MUCH about undies showing. It’s a pet peeve for me. It doesn’t matter what size or shape you are, but poorly fitting clothes are not flattering.

I have a dark blue leather belt which approximates the color of jeans. It can give jeans a nice, finished look without looking busy. I find my legs look longer too!

Hmmm...another video filled with advice for older women. Actually, I'm 65 and no longer have breasts because of cancer. I've decided to go flat, so none of my clothes hangs right. I like the "frumpy" look on me. I survived cancer so I'm not that interested in whether or not my clothes don't look right to other people---people I'm totally disinterested in impressing. Honestly, I'm just happy to still be here and if that means wearing clothes that I like but someone might not, so be it. One thing I won't compromise on is my hair. Cancer treatment changed it considerably and now I keep my salt and pepper neatly cut short. And I'm adamant about maintaining it. All of that said, I truly do enjoy your videos, even if I often disagree with them. It's just good to see a woman "our age" talking about fashion. You're lovely, by the way.

Very good points, but I would also include the importance of a good hair style that is well kept. When my hair grows too long for my cut I am instantly the Frump Queen!

I think there is still too much going on with the jeans. Count the number of horizontal lines -- striped cardigan, white shirt tucked into jeans, and large obvious cuffs on the bottom of the jeans. I would either wear uncuffed jeans or I would untuck the top.

I'd add wearing too much black as aging. I went to a posh cocktail party on Valentines where the majority of people were in their 60s and these people have a lot of money. Almost everyone was in head to toe black, yes the clothes were expensive but they were shapeless and black. It was like they were all trying to disappear.

In Canada, we never say knickers, but underpants or panties. I always know where someone is from when they say knickers, it is one of the charming idioms of the British. You made some great points for us to think about as we dress for our days. As for trousers, they suggest very tailored pants, often with front pleats and side pockets. We would use that for men’s clothing more than women’s.
