  This song is supposed to make you cry. It&apos;s beautiful. You don&apos;t need any other reason.

  In my senior year of high school (1972), I took an ecology class. For a final project, I went on a photographic journey and took many pictures which I set to a Don McLean song called “Tapestry.” <br>I hear many people who react to his work and say “It’s like poetry, “ and I always want to scream at them - It’s not LIKE poetry - it IS poetry.
