That quiet tension in the lead-up to D-Day gave me chills. You can sense how every soldier knew the world was about to change, but no one knew how it would end.

this made me cry....these young men and women made what we call today freedom, although i never seen the word "naxi" being so much thrown around when you dont like someone.<br>these are literally the real heroes

Thank you for posting this, truly.<br>Every school should have this included in their History class as a subject and a constant REMINDER that we OWE so much to those who gave their lives so we can go about our daily lives as we do.<br><br>I am 61 now and I went to school when WWII was included in History class. A-last, today’s generation missed what needs to be still told…

My dad was part of the battles the one o heard about most was battle of the bulge we need to remember the survivors of the war they carried a lot of mental and physical damage they gave their all too just lucky to survive
