At 67 and after 27 different street and dirt bikes, here I am. I have always worked on my own bikes, it just gives you a deeper enjoyment of the sport. Love my 2023 Beta 300RR.
One bad habit I see too many off-road riders do, is sitting when they should be standing.
Great tips. The momentum one is spot on. Sometimes it’s easier to go faster than slower. The stabilization caused by the wheels gyroscopic force really helps when bouncing through gnarly sections at speed.

You are the best. I brought up both of my kids riding through your online training subscription. Three years later both boys are loving riding, one almost made Loretta’s this year in the 65 class. We are big fans, thanks a ton for promoting having fun with it because that’s what we are all about!

I'm with Josh here. I have never, not once, had a good quality tie-down ever come loose. Ever. In fact, I have never used ANY working tie down come loose. Never. And I've been hauling dirt bikes more than most for over 16 years now. You don't need ratchet straps. There are use cases for them, but dirt bikes aren't one of them.

Pretty good video. One thing to be aware of is of the “need for speed” . As a hot rodder I like speed BUT you have to figure out a percentage of how hard and fast you are riding . IE - I’m running at 50% of my control level. 100 percent would be that very fine line of crashing and not crashing. At some point speed becomes too much work and stress to maintain. ( there is no “ race” . There is something to be said for slowing down and enjoying the views and wildlife. And not getting hurt or F’ing up the bike.

Adding to #8, learn basic first aid. You should be able to stabilize a limb and figure out how to get someone out.

Solid info, Josh. I am ALWAYS courteous to other trail users, mainly to uphold that image for us riders - because it really does matter. But man does it piss me off when they can't respond the same way, like somebody peed in their Cheerios! They must be miserable people all the time, huh? 😂😂
