  My mom was an addict, from a family of addicts, and pulling what I called &quot;sympathy stunts&quot; was basically her full-time <b>JOB.</b> People would be so confused as to how I could be so cold or callous to my own family, and it&apos;s like, you really don&apos;t get it until you&apos;ve been victim to it over and over and over again. The scheme level of an addict is top tier. They don&apos;t even mean it, which is why so many people give support. They really are very sick, their brains have been rewired, but unfortunately the damage they do when in that state will also destroy people who try to help. This is something best left to professionals-- and if someone won&apos;t cooperate, there&apos;s nothing you can do. Literally brush your hands off and go on with your life.

  Classic junkie manipulation. “You said you’d help me, you aren’t helping as much as I thought - now I want everything you have and more.” I’ve seen this a million times, I used to pull this same BS on people. Terence is best to just move on with his life, those lowlifes will find another person to cling onto and try to rob. Addicts always feel entitled, give an inch and they will take a mile. I hope Dan and friends all find peace and serenity.

  His daughter literally warned everyone about him not deserving the money, because he would literally kill himself. And look what’s going on. He’s using again. So freaking sad. And people were saying oh he can change. After being arrested last year with an arrest record longer than a mile long. I was skeptical and I was right to be.

  I used to be a Social Worker that worked with the homeless. I saw this situation coming from a mile away. You can&apos;t just windfall a bunch of cash to mentally ill people. You have to setup some kind of trust that releases money as they hit goals.

  Dude has a history of violence, particularly against women. &nbsp;He allegedly “splashed” gasoline on a woman once, &nbsp;while he was arguing with her. &nbsp;The fact that people are aggressively arguing over him is just bizarre. &nbsp;The guy only needs an ID to collect the money that people donated to him for just being high on a boat and he can’t even manage that without bad mouthing the people involved in the fundraiser. &nbsp;14 mugshots and yet he claims he’s “innocent of all charges.” &nbsp;I don’t believe anything that comes out of his mouth. &nbsp;If he can’t own up to his past, why should anyone forgive him for it?
