Who needs World Expo when we have the Canton Fair in Guangzhou and the China International Import Expo in Shanghai.
When China hosted the 2010 World Expo in Shanghai, the US and UK snubbed over the event by delaying their participation and many times threatened to pull out completely. It was humiliating to invite them but China did anyway. Now China doesn't need to join any World Expo if it doesn't like. Those events don't bring any tangible business results to Chinese businesses. The Canton Fair and CIIE, in contrary, bring in hundreds of billion dollars of real business in and out to all participants.
Thanks for sharing this, Lee! Happy to see you in very good shape.

The expo theme song should be "You Got It" by Roy Orbison:

"Anything you want - you got it
Anything you need - you got it
Anything at all - you got it
baby!"

This is the 2026 version of the ancient Silk Road Grand Bazaar, as depicted in historical records. Instead of silk, fabrics, spices, ceramics, and precious stones, the Canton Trade Fair now showcases all kinds of machinery, tools, EVs, electronics, and robots. Humanity’s need to trade and strike deals remains unchanged across the centuries.

Nice video! Having organized trade exhibitions in China for international buyers, I created a free Trade guide to help first-timers navigate the Canton Fair and clear up travel questions. Happy to answer any questions.
