  One of the wonderful things about Japan is that you can travel from the modern cityscape of Tokyo to Nagano in just about two hours and find yourself back amidst magnificent nature. The changing seasons are spectacular, allowing you to savor the distinct flavors of vegetables, fruits, and fish unique to each time of year. As a child, I loved the hot summer days spent playing in rivers and fishing, but over time, I grew to love spring and the autumn foliage, and now I have come to love winter as well. I love winter because the blue sky is truly beautiful, and I cherish the shifting seasons as the cold gradually gives way to warmth, bringing the blooming of plum and cherry blossoms.

  Thank you for always sharing such wonderful videos. I’m Japanese, but I live overseas now, so seeing the beautiful scenery of Japan’s four seasons always fills me with nostalgia and happiness.<br><br>I’m originally from Tokyo, but my grandparents lived in Nagano, and when I was a child, I spent every spring and summer vacation there. Your videos bring back so many wonderful memories from those days.<br><br>What I especially love about your channel is that you show the beauty of places that most tourists don’t usually visit. By introducing these lesser-known places, you’re helping people appreciate a different side of Japan, and I believe you’re making a meaningful contribution to both Nagano and Japan.<br><br>I’m so glad you chose to stay in Japan.   なぜかお勧めに上がって来たので、拝見してみると映像の美しさに驚嘆しました。外国の方がこんなにも素敵な映像で、私が生まれ、住み続けて来た国の風景や人々の暮らしぶりを紹介してくださると、あらためて「自分はこんないい国に住んでいるんだな」と、自分の運の良さみたいなものを感じます。少し、奇異に感じられるかもしれませんが。😅<br><br>お二人とも外国生まれの方のようですが、日本の田舎暮らしをここまで楽しんでいらっしゃるのを見ると、率直に言って日本人の大半は嫉妬を覚えると思いますよ。日本人の多くは日々の生活に追われ、自分の周りの日常風景を、これほど詩情豊かに映像に収められる余裕のある人は多くはありません。お二人は経済的にも、精神的にも特別の才覚を持った方たちなんだろうなと思います。<br><br>私は九州の田舎に生まれ、大学には入るために上京し、東京で就職してその後、定年まで東京及びその近郊で暮らしていました。私も、若いころは長野、岐阜、富山、山梨の山々をよくトレッキングしていました。親の介護のために60代半ばに帰郷し、また田舎暮らしに戻りました。こちらの映像では触れられていませんが、東京での暮らしに慣れてしまうと、田舎はとにかく不便だと感じています。<br><br>まず、車を運転できないと暮らしがスムーズに回りません。私の住んでいる市では、80代後半のじいさん、ばあさんでも当然の事として車を運転します。子どもと同居していない老人はそうするしかないのです。人付き合いはあまり無く、自治会の集まりで年に一度顔を合わせるだけの人も多く、昔とはまったく違います。介護施設のお世話になる年齢になったら、また違うのでしょうが。<br><br>次に思う田舎の大変さは、虫やその他の生き物が家の中には入ってくることですかね。😂夏の間は、蜘蛛、蟻、蛾、蚊の他にゴキブリ、ヤモリ、ムカデは普通には入って来ます。最近、生まれて初めてムカデに噛まれたんですが、その痛さに驚きました。噛まれて直ぐに流水で毒を丹念に洗い流したんですが、其の晩は痛みがひどくて眠れませんでしたよ。お二人とも、ムカデを甘くみないでください。5ｃｍくらいの小さいヤツでも、うっかり噛まれたらとんでもない痛みが襲いますから。😆<br><br>3番めは庭の草刈りですね。油断すると夏場は草ぼうぼうになるので、2周間に1回は2時間くらいかけて草刈りです。年間を通じて10回以上は草刈りに時間を費やすことになります。でも、楽しみもあって、花の咲く木がそこそこ有るので、それぞれの花の咲く時期は楽しみでもあるんですよ。サザンカ、椿、紅梅、ツツジ、岩つつじ、くちなし、山吹、木瓜など。<br><br>これを機会に、こちらのチャンネルを登録して訪問させてもらう事にしましたので、これからも素敵な映像で楽しませてください。

  Roy and Aimee, this video is one of your better ones on Japan as it features your new life in Nagano and the countryside. I must commend both of you on the well taken shots of the beautiful landscape and the four seasons. I just stumbled on your videos today and really enjoyed watching them.   これはマジですごい。<br>日本人でもここまで中々経験できない。<br>NYやオーストラリアに住んだ後、今は日本に住んでいますが、正直学ぶことが多い動画でした。<br>刺激と安らぎになりました。

  本当に美しい映像ですね<br>私も長野県への移住者ですが春到来から新緑、そして夏へのワクワクした気持ちや喜び、景色の美しさは都心では味わえない感覚です。<br>あと同時に旬の食べ物と言う感覚も身につきました。旬の食べ物は季節の到来を味覚から感じます。<br>わっと市場に現れ、しかし1,2週間もすればあっという間に無くなり味わえなくなってしまう旬の食材も大好きです。
