  I just want to say that your channel has had a very big impact on me. I was raised in, and still attend a very staunch young earth creationist church. To give you an idea, we will be having Ken Ham come teach at our church next week I believe. We&apos;ve also had Jason Lisle come multiple times, and we had Rob Carter at least once.<br><br>My family are all young earth creationists. They are all true believers and followers of Christ. As are many of the people at my church. I also held very strongly to my young earth beliefs for a very long time. I was convinced that they were true. <br><br>Your videos played a big role in me coming to different views about science and the Bible, but even moreso, your videos played a big role in helping me see other Christians as more than just debate opponents. <br><br>There is a lot of material out there critiquing young earth creationism, but I think what makes yours unique is the balanced, fair, and winsome tone and attitude you approach these topics with. There&apos;s a lot of stuff out there that is just cruel and mean, and very uncharitable towards anyone who might hold certain views. I appreciate your approach to these discussions and to me it comes off as very Christlike and mature.<br><br>You never know why people might&apos;ve come to certain views and I am very grateful that you don&apos;t demean people for that. Most of the people I know are YEC and I love and respect them very much. It doesn&apos;t mean they can&apos;t be wrong. <br><br>I hope you keep making videos about the topic, at the very least they are very educational to me, and you have basically become my main source that I go to for these issues. You have really helped me think much more clearly on this topic and I want to say thank you very much. Whatever you choose to do with the channel, I&apos;ll keep watching.

  An awful lot of people are willing to pay for comforting lies, and there will always be people willing to lie for money. I wish the truth was as profitable

  One little thing I wanted to add. As a YouTube creator myself. (My other account, SongbirdGaming, is nearing 10k subscribers). It is very easy to forget that nobody has ever seen all of our content except us. <br><br>Even your most staunch fans who have been watching your videos for years, have probably not watched all of them. And new people join your audience all the time, and of course if you want your channel to grow that&apos;s the goal. <br><br>So the new people who just found your channel this week, won&apos;t have seen that old stuff. And here&apos;s the other thing… <br><br>The more times you talk about the same topic, the better you get at talking about it. I&apos;ve seen a lot of your older videos from 10 years ago. You&apos;ve gotten so much better, so much more concise. You still ramble a lot and talk in circles/repeat yourself sometimes (I think that&apos;s probably par for the course as a college professor😂), but not nearly as much as you used to. Your titles and thumbnails are better, and more clickable/attractive. And you&apos;re making more shorter videos versus the older videos that were all over an hour. Shorter videos are also easier for people to share and send to their young earth creationist friends and family members. so please keep up the good work. 💜

  Rant away. It&apos;s not those who are in authority whose mindset you&apos;ll change, it&apos;s those who listen to you who you&apos;ll help. But, keep calling them out.

  There&apos;s a term from the philosophical literature that may be useful. The term applies to speech which isn&apos;t exactly lying, since lying implies you know the truth and are trying to hide it. Rather, it applies to speech where the speaker is showing wanton disregard for whether what they are saying is true or not, but still wants it to be considered true. The term is &quot;bullshit.&quot;

  Please do not stop doing what you are doing. Voices of rationality are rare these days and that makes what you&apos;re doing valuable. To say that I appreciate your efforts is an understatement.

  Joel, it’s obvious from your demeanour this has really frustrated you. <br>Please know that many people appreciate your efforts. <br>There will be many people who will not change their minds, but if you encourage just one person to think critically while retaining their faith you have succeeded. <br>When you ask how many times must I do this? The answer may be 70 x 7 😉
