  Our second episode of Home Frequency takes us to Periwinkle, a soulful hillside home above Kingston, filled with art, antiques, ceramics, and the accumulated treasures of a life.<br><br>This episode is particularly special to me because its subject is my mother.<br><br>She is also one of the people who first taught me how to see — how to notice and appreciate beauty in the everyday, and, perhaps more importantly, how to create it. <br><br>The way a table is set, the objects we choose to live with, a garden tended over time, good food, music, conversation — all of these small things contribute to the experience of home and to the texture of a life.<br><br>Her influence has had a great deal to do with honing my own perception of beauty and, inevitably, with the sensibility that informs Home Frequency.<br><br>In this episode, we explore her relationship with art and antiques, her belief in being a custodian of the home and garden rather than simply its owner, and some of the quiet rituals and pleasures that make Periwinkle distinctly hers.<br><br>It is an honour to have her and her home featured in our second episode.<br><br>— Tara Blake<br>Editor, Home Frequency Jamaica
