  These games are kind of like the modern &quot;LSD Dream Emulator.&quot;<br><br>Playable acid trips. More and more so with each new entry.

  The way I like to explain the premise of the games&apos; story is &quot;You&apos;re a parent who ventures into a kindergarten to retrieve their lost child - but on the way, you discover said kindergarten was a coverup for a gigantic scientific experimentation facility, and the only thing remaining of that is a whole civilization of creatures made of clay, living in this ecosystem hidden underground. The game humanizes these living mascots - them having their own personalities, backstories, interests, goals, culture, conflicts, traumas, fears, relationships, families, even children. You&apos;ve disturbed their human-free peace, with many of the mascots fearing your presence, but some are willing to aid you during your journey.&quot;<br><br>As much as I think Garten of Banban has the most interesting story and worldbuilding of all mascot horrors, I think the presentation is a little flawed. You can only fully understand the story if you replay/rewatch the games, read all case update reports, and put the puzzle pieces together. I don&apos;t want it to be stupid easy to understand and be served on a silver platter, but I want it to be more comprehensible to the average player, so at least they get a good idea of what it&apos;s about - an overwhelming majority of players completely misunderstand the story, and it makes me sad. It tackles topics like child neglect and abuse, favoritism, dehumanization, dictatorship, and oppression.<br><br>Speaking of the story, I should note that the Queen&apos;s scepter (the heart-shaped wand) wasn&apos;t made by the scientists. It was made by Syringeon as a tool for Queen Bouncelia to take control over other mascots and lead them as an army against their very oppressors, who happen to be the human scientists. When the scientists discovered the scepter, they, well, took it away, and punished the mascots for even thinking of rebelling against them. This is such an interesting piece of lore and story to me, sadly mostly restricted to the case update reports.

  I&apos;ve come to the conclusion that the pure existance of banban is just not real and I&apos;ve developed scitzofrenia and imagined a whole game franchise.

  Choo Choo Charles coming out of nowhere and almost fucking killing Banban is the funniest thing ever in this whole game series for some reason

  What takes me out of the franchise is the lack of theming that ties everything together.<br><br>FNAF is based on Chuck E Cheese. Poppy Playtime is about various types of toys. And Bendy is centered on old cartoons. And Banban is based on…. what? Child’s drawings? Kindergarten mascots? Do kindergartens have mascots?<br><br>As a result, nothing makes sense and everything feels weightless.
