  The grim thing about the Witch&apos;s House is that Ellen just standing there waiting is probably the canon ending. She knows that the thorns in her way were conjured up by Viola, and that they&apos;ll disappear once she dies, which won&apos;t be long thanks to her gruesome injuries. So all she has to do is be patient and not put herself in danger by going into the house.

  The fact the Far Cry 4 &quot;Do Nothing&quot; ending is probably the only one that can be considered a &quot;good&quot; ending is honestly pretty sad.

  The Longing, in it you are a creature who has been tasked with watching over the sleeping king for 400 days. The game takes place in real time and you can find ways to speed up this waiting by exploring…or you can just turn off the game and do something else for 400 days and then come back and get your ending!

Witches in this story can&apos;t die unless they&apos;ve given up on life and fallen into despair. This implies Viola realized Ellen wasn&apos;t taking the bait and she&apos;d never get her body back or even be able to kill Ellen to protect her dad, so she gave up and then succumbed to her injuries. Also the demon cat probably ate her soul.

  As someone who never played FarCry 4 but seen the &quot;secret&quot; ending about a dozen times now, I am convinced Pangan Min is a proper gentleman and host and staying at the table must therefor be the only decent way to complete the game. For starters, the crab rangoon is clearly to die for.

  Witch&apos;s House also gets the dubious honor of that ending being the closest thing to a &quot;good&quot; ending the game has. Sure, it still ends with Ellen getting away scot-free with everything while Viola dies, but at least she wasn&apos;t literally <i>killed by her own father in front of her murderer in her stolen body.</i> Low, low bar, but it crosses it. -_-

  You could argue that undertale yellow has an ending like that. When you fall down (again) after the tutorial section toriel asks you to stay there so that she can fetch rope to help you climb back up. Do that for like 5-10 minutes and exactly that happens, prompting you to climb said rope and allegedly making flowey angry enough to reset the story before you&apos;re halfway up the hole

  It involves slightly more than literal &quot;nothing&quot; but not much. In Shadow Complex, the metroidvania, you and your girlfriend stumble across some secret underground military base. She gets captured and taken into the base, and you&apos;re supposed to go in and rescue her. But if you just go back a few screens to your car, our &quot;hero&quot; drives off, saying &quot;Plenty more fish in the sea&quot; and the credits roll. Evil :)
