  I&apos;m impressed. Some time ago I&apos;ve seen someone building a solar powered RC plane and it was really hard. And drones are much harder when it comes to ultra efficiency. Tbh, I started watching this video with the expectation that it won&apos;t work in the end.

  <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=isAQEU0mZBo&amp;t=771">12:51</a> I feel like even a small battery is a good idea for a buffer if you encounter clouds or one of the panels breaks so you have enough time to land the drone before it falls out of the sky.

  It would work better if you distributed the weight of the solar panels across the drone&apos;s body, forming an X pattern. This would maintain stability because the weight would be distributed more evenly.

  you can make an autonomous flying umbrella for hiking in the deserts , good shade in the desert with light cooling from the propellers : )
