  Mt St Helens is far more likely to go off than Yellowstone, but being prepared is always a good idea.

  I was in Northern Idaho back in the summer of 1980. We were covered in Mt. St. Helens ash about a feet deep. The ash wasn’t that big of a deal. It covered everything about a foot deep. We were in an RV and went to bed one night. The next morning, the ash and we had to drive to Boise. The wind blew off most of the ash and we changed the air filter a few times by covering it in a tee shirt. We finally made it back and I got on a flight to Atlanta. It wasn’t as bad as you are stating. The ash washed out with water and didn’t cause bleeding. In fact, the ash made everything glow better the next year. Crops yields increased. The ash was a good thing.

  Eastern North Carolina,  I have besides beans and rice, I  ordered 6 months of emergency food and stuff from Patriots.  I only have one box of N9s a bathtub full of  water.  My daughter  and I  are buying  barrels I left  straws at my daughter's place  I have coffee  filters, but I am getting  more. I am buying  plant lights for my little storage room, seeds because  they are trying  to  force  that subject (government) that is.  They don't get to  tell me  I can't  grow  food.I am a  nurse but there's a few more things to get for first aid.  3 vehicle  filters for each vehicle.  Look I am 73yo and I  am not  that  attached to earth, though I  am greatful for my time ,but  I  don't  want  my family to suffer.

  When Mt St. Helen's blew in the 80s I lived in Colorado Springs, CO and we got 2-3" of ash on our deck railings

  In the past, when an eruption of this magnitude happened, the Earth goes into extended winters.  It’ll take a couple years to return to normal.  In the mean time, crops around the world will fail.   Good luck kids.
