  UPDATE ON THE RENDERING ISSUES IN THE FINAL 20 MINS OF THE VID: <br>I&apos;m gonna get them fixed without Re-uploading because im a genius and I&apos;m goated. I&apos;ve been tweaking and re-rendering and re-uploading unlisted versions to try and get a fixed version, which is just gonna be trial and error until the video decides to work properly. Sooooo I&apos;m not sure WHEN the rendering stuff will be fixed, could be today, could be tomorrow, maybe longer. BUT, It will be a FIX. NOT a reupload

  I will say I think you got Mine&apos;s characterization a tad bit wrong. He doesn&apos;t want to &quot;prove Kiryu wrong&quot; that no human connections is better, he&apos;s simply so envious of Kiryu that it drives him insane. He WANTED to be loved. But he didn&apos;t receive the love and care that Kiryu received from Nishiki and Kazama and company. He was just alone, starving, poor and cold. He describes the time as &quot;its surprising to realize that poverty of that level still exists&quot; comparing it to being as bad as an orphan after WW2. Kiryu had the support system necessary to get to where he was organically, whereas Mine was running from abject poverty. The world saw him as nothing, and there was nobody to ease his pain. He got it in his mind that he had to make himself great and successful in the world in order to be loved, because he was unworthy of love until he met some goal forever beyond the horizon, and finally became worthy of respect and companionship amongst his peers. He wants to destroy Morning Glory orphanage so badly not because it makes him mad that Kiryu is happy, but because it makes him mad that the orphans are happy. How could they be exactly what he was as a child, but somehow worthy of love? He&apos;s so envious of those children that it makes him sick. When he joined the yakuza, it was because he longed for the brotherly bonds he perceived them to enjoy. He bribed Kanda to let him in. And sure, people would smile and laugh and be friendly with him, and on paper Mine has accomplished what he wants, but he doesn&apos;t feel complete. The people around him dont like him for who he is, they like him for his massive wallet in the hopes that some of that cheddar will trickle down to them. He can&apos;t break from the cycle because he perceives people as selfish creatures, and as such continues to only surround himself with selfish people.<br><br>Then everything changed when he met Daigo. He was charismatic, and despite Mine&apos;s lack of human experience making it difficult to make a real connection, he saw that Daigo was a genuine guy who actually wanted to be friends, not with Mine the breadwinner but with Mine the man. Granted, Yakuza 3 is shittily written, so his reason for going back to his original thinking--that Daigo was on death&apos;s door and going to die soon--is invalidated when a miracle of God allows Daigo to go from comatose to Red Dead Redemption Deadeye aim. In his words, verbatim, &quot;Robbed of the one man I ever loved, I needed to find a new reason to live. Meaningless as it may be, attaining power is what I&apos;ve settled on.&quot; After being a transactional boob his entire life, he couldn&apos;t help but go absolutely apeshit and fall right back into his old ways dialed up to 11. Daigo getting shot made him even more irrational and unstable than he already was. You&apos;re very right that Mine is the version of Kiryu that grew in hatred instead of love, but he&apos;s very aware that his way of life is not the key to happiness. He was miserable, then happy for a small time, and now he&apos;s twice as miserable now. He walks his road to ruin half-knowingly, because he is resigned to believing that without a rescuer like Daigo, there is simply no turning back. No place to even begin turning over a new leaf. In another life, similar to Ryuji, he and Kiryu would have been great friends.<br><br>TL;DR -- the man desired love, but nobody cared about him. His entire life, the pursuit of money, joining the yakuza, was in search of being loved. From his perspective, at least, even if Kiryu himself doesnt believe it, Kiryu is drowning in the love and adoration of everyone else, including the man he himself idolizes, Daigo. His opposition to Kiryu is not a battle of ideals, because he knows he has lived a life of fallacy. His opposition is one of jealousy and rage. If he can&apos;t be loved, he needs to tear him down to his level.
