  Fortnum and Masons (a very high end and posh food shop), invented the Scotch Egg for a snack to be taken on (horse) coach trips, in the 1730s. &nbsp;No idea where they got the eating in mines from. &nbsp;As, unlike a Cornish Pasty, &nbsp;it has not option to hold a a part meant to be thrown away, after been held by a miners dirty hands.

  British baked beans on toast is delicious and that is not too many beans if it’s all you’re having for a meal. You never pick it up - unless you want it to decorate your sweater. &nbsp;We also customise our beans - I love a tablespoon of HP brown sauce stirred into the beans, or Worcestershire sauce, or curry paste. Lots of people stir grated cheddar cheese into the hot beans, or sprinkle it on top. Some mums put them into chilli con carne instead of red kidney beans because most kids here don’t like them. You can buy them almost anywhere here with reduced sugar and salt content and they make ketchup like that, too. But I’m guessing no American ever thought “I wish I could get this with less sugar in it.” 😂 Best wishes from Scotland. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿
