I went to 120 Ramones shows. They were always playing in the NYC/NJ/PA area. I told myself " One day there will be no Ramones. Go to the show, screw work" Glad I did. It has been 29 years since their last show. I am 67

My band The Giant Burritos opened for the Ramones in 1988 at the Bachannal in San Diego when I was 18. I got to hang out with all of them before the show and they were cool as shit. Went in their Winnebago and drank beers and asked questions. Humble and gracious they were and answered all our questions and seemed very happy they had been such a huge influence on us and our music. Talked to Johnny years later at the Troubador in LA during the Joe Strummer and the Mescalaros gig. Still took the time to talk to me. RIP all you OG punk rockers.

Without these fools we wouldn't have 200 bands from 1980 to 1995

Ramones always put me in a good mood. It was punk but it never came off as mean spirited , Joey never gets credit for actually having a great unique voice .

When I was a 12-year-old preteen just discovering rock and roll, I thought the Ramones were a Spanish band or something. I made my parents buy me It's Alive, and it changed everything—they’ve been my favorite band ever since. Can't stop listening 40 years later and will never do.

26 minutes for a live performance, the right duration.
