I was a non-member who watched for months. However, one week ago, I was baptized. Thanks to the stick of Joseph, This show, ward radio, and Jacob Hanson’s debates with Alex O’Connor. I was an evangelical Christian, my husband and I led Bible studies and were even in charge of college ministries at one point, but I too was disgusted my many so called “Christian” leaders. A cute story: a friend invited us to his LDS church, so we went. The first time I took my son who was 8, he told me, “mommy, I never want to leave. God is there.” The second time he came out of primary he said, “I’m getting baptized, and I’m going to serve a mission when I’m older.” I research the church for 6 months before I decided to be baptized. My son was baptized before me. My husband is not there yet, but he read the BOM to him last night. Keep up the great work!

My son was certified to do specialized clean up of asbestos and abatement. He was fortunate to have been assigned to work in the holy of holy’s. He had some very interesting experiences. His boss was impressed to keep them in their protective gear a day longer than they needed to be because he had a dream someone was injured but he couldn’t tell who it was but it involved something flying into someone’s eyes. So he said one more day in full gear and sure enough spray foam flew into one guys face but he had his full mask on so everybody was safe. He was sure that the adversary was tying to delay the work they were doing. So glad for personal revelation!

Few years back my wife and I were the last two in the temple for the last endowment of the day. As we were sitting in the Celestial some lights were being turned off and a blue glow started to emanate in the room. We asked a worker what the blue glow was and it turns out the Holy of Holies opens right into the Celestial room and the blue glow was coming from light inside the Holy of Holies. He took us back behind the Celestial room to see the stained glass window of the Holy of Holies and to the original doors of the temple. The window is very close to the doors and is quite beautiful. It was done by Tiffany's if I recall right. It was an amazing experience.

When I was investigating the church 53 years ago, I got to meet with elder Ashton. I asked him if he had seen Christ just like the old apostles. He looked me straight in the eyes and said, " Young man, I know that Jesus lives just like I am speaking to you now."

For the whole sacred versus secret thing, I’ve come to like the comparison of how I would respond to people asking about my physical relationship with my spouse. Nothing about it is a secret, but because of my love for her and my covenants and respect for her, I would never discuss it no matter how familiar I am with the person because of its sacred nature. Except for the very few things we covenant to never reveal, everything else could technically be shared.
