It's funny that only Lila kidnaps Astor and Cody in the show and she's not even that much comparable to the book villains

I think all these book villains could be included in resurrection since they dont need to worry about tv guidelines and directly release it on ott.

Dexter ACTUALLY having a literal Dark Passenger hiding inside him is a major difference between the books and the series. This supernatural element would have been hard to adapt to the screen.

Don't Astor and Cody end up as proto-serial killers in the books? It's legit no surprise considering how much kidnapping trauma they go through

Wonder how the book handles Dexter almost getting caught. With aster and Cody always getting kidnapped, and Dexter having more personal run ins with the killers

Now that I think about it, doakes dead body in season 2 Dexter is kind of a reference to Dr Danco, how mangled the body is, no arms no legs, the face without the majority of skin on it, very similar to dr danco’s method, nice reference.

As someone from Miami, most of our crime is drug related or personal. The cults and serial killers are either really good at hiding or not really around 😅
