Soft Cell, Depeche Mode, Duran Duran, Ultravox, OMD... just wow. I need a spaceship to carry me back to early 80s.

63 now but 17/18 1981. I remember watching these on Totp and buying smash hits 😊. We never knew those were the best times

That first song by Bucks Fizz seems like something the Brady Bunch kids would have performed for 10-year-old children.

That year I turned 16, left school, started work, a bit more than a year later I was conscripted and spent 19 months in a war zone in Africa. It was 6 years before I met the lady I was to marry and build a life with. 45 years have passed, My life has been good so far and I am not dead yet, I consider this the year that the best part of my life started.  Having said that Depeche Mode were crap.
