As a hospice nurse, I could write a whole book on how much easier it is to care for someone at the end of life when minimalism is involved. I also love how Japanese culture seems to approach death as a natural part of life.❤

The Japanese concept is that when one opens a door or drawer, you see everything immediately. No digging around. That concept changed how I organize.

No intro to the video. Gets straight into the topic, so refreshing love it

Your videos are so uplifting. I've been frozen in a super challenging season of life and often get on YouTube rabbit holes trying to find something to jog my soul out of this deep hole of depression. I find the most inspiration watching your content or just having it play in the background as I get started. And as I get my home back in order it seems to bring my thoughts and emotions with it. When i look around and things are organized and I can find 'em it brings a renewed sense of confidence. In no time, I remember I can trust myself and make decisions. Just feel .. capable.

I did fly lady a long time ago and when things get rough in life I can forget myself. These videos help me remember how it feels to be at my best and have control over my environment. Even when other circumstances in life are not great.

i was recently hospitalized x10 days with an illness that temporarily made me dependent on others for care.
when i came home, had to hire care & have medical professionals come to my home. I was so embarrassed by the clutter in my home, as well as seeing how it could also affect my health & fall risk.
it was a real wake up call….& now that i am doing better I am actively decluttering to allow for a safer, more organized, calmer & peaceful home.
one never knows what the future holds…my home should reflect my current needs & be ready for me to make changes no matter what the future holds. better to be light & nimble, instead of weighed down by the stuff. Thank you 🙏

17:25 oh, in the USA you have huge homes, but in Japan or Europe we have way smaller ones. That’s why we try to maximize space!

Being disabled, I find different ways to accommodate. Small plastic bins work wonderfully well for me. I put things in them in cupboards and drawers. I can pull them out to get what I need without fumbling, due to my hands not working that well anymore. I love the fact that the spices that I use are all in one spot and I can pull out the little bin and set it on the shelf when I'm cooking. It's been a real game-changer for me.

I love sturdy shelf risers for heavy things like mixing bowls/salad bowl so that they don’t have to sit iinside each other and can instead have their own shelf ❤

Your channel is one of few that actually inspire me to ACTION! I don't know how many videos of yours that I start watching, just to pause and get up off the couch and find my self decluttering a kitchen drawer... ❤️
