  Tried to explain tax refunds to a buddy of mine when he used Klarna to buy a $1700 rifle prior to getting his $1800 refund back. He never seemed to grasp the concept that it’s not free money, just money that the government shouldn’t have taken out of your paycheck in the first place.

  I don&apos;t think that refund of 1/2 million is true for one reason. Tax software always rounds to the nearest dollar. Never would get 74 cents in there.

  We became debt free in October and used our return this year to get our 3 month emergency fund fund fully stocked. Baby step 4 here we come!

  Define irony...The IRS knows what you made and what you owe, but you are expected to do the paperwork and hope it matches what their records show. Get it right, do it again next year. Get it wrong, penalties, interest, liens, garnishments, collections, and possibly jail. What a system!

  <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ib8V3NCvsGo&amp;t=324">5:24</a> one year, after filing taxes and paying them, they sent me a letter saying that I owe another $112. I’m like, if you have the right answer then why don’t you just tell me that instead of me spending money on an accountant to do my taxes?! This system needs to change.

  I love how the Quebec guy shows a video of potholes and the roadsign clearly says, &quot;Los Angeles&quot;. Also, if your networth is $50M, you shouldn&apos;t complain about a 57% tax rate.
