  &quot;No gloves&quot; is actually a safety feature. You never want anything on your person like gloves, rings, long hair, loose clothing that the blade can catch and draw you in.

  Love this documentary: no music, no unnecessary commentary, just live sounds. &nbsp;No sub second cuts. Very clear depiction of the process. They don’t make them like this any more.

  I&apos;ve been a woodworker for over 25 years. One of my first teachers was missing half his thumb, and he told me &quot;If you&apos;re going to be a woodworker it&apos;s just a matter of time until you loose a finger.&quot; I thought to myself, what an asshole to say that. I still have all ten today.

  My Dad taught me at a very young age, a &nbsp;power saw doesn&apos;t care if it&apos;s cutting wood, metal or flesh and bone. So be careful, never take your eyes off the blade and never let your mind wander! At 88, he still had all his fingers!
