I was a poor white kid in Minnesota raised by a single parent when Good Times was on TV in syndication and it was essentially my entire exposure to African American family culture. As a latchkey kid, I watched it every weekday afternoon and it taught me so many good lessons - not just about the bigger world but about growing up to be a moral person. Thank you for being such a positive influence on my life.

Born a white kid in 1970 I grew up watching these primarily black cast shows like Good Times, Sanford and Son, The Jefferson’s and not having any thought's about color. I was raised that we are all unique individuals, fellow Americans.  In 2024 I’m saddened by our world now but stay optimistic about our future. ❤️✌🏼🇺🇸

John Amos made the show. Quit watching it when he left. Very underrated actor. He was awesome in the original Roots too.

I think it's great how they still see each other and still share that bond. They still got it. RIP ESTER ROLL AND JOHN AMOS. you are missed‼️😥😥😥

Good Times has to be top 10 shows of all time. It was perfect and felt so real, probably cause in lots of cases even still today it is.
