  Her gift analogy doesn't work unless she says the alternative to you accepting the gift is her kidnapping you and blasting you with a flamethrower.

  This is the exact conversation I had with my best friend when I was a Christian. He is one of the best people I know and he didn't believe in God. When he asked if he would go to Hell and I said yes, it was the moment I realized how flawed the whole thing was. It took a little longer to get through my coping, but I now have been out of the religion and feel so much better for it!

  I empathize with the caller. I appreciate that she remained respectful and I’ve been in her shoes before 14 years ago so I love conversations like this. It allows everybody to think.❤
