They could have included Omega into Advent’s lore with being the reason why everyone was locked up. Heck, that could have been why they were called ADVENT in the first place!

It sucks that Omega as a whole was just thrown away after a while because it could have been similar to how A-Chan works.

its not like they can't bring it back. Omega didn't have a voice attached to the character, so there wouldn't be a big stink over a new person taking the role.

It’s such a shame that they never used their design, like they are so pretty. I did a cosplay of them a while back and only 3% of the hololive fans who went to that con knew who I was🥲.

I feel a reason why it wasn't as liked its because its feels unnatural compared to how we got introduced to other members of management. A-chan was just this staff girl that was friend with Sora and happen to play games with her from time to time, Shinove was mentioned from time to time by stars members and he appeared in some streams with them, or Gorimane from stars EN, she became gorimane due to a Flayon mistake an just played along. Having someone of management sort of self insert themselves into the public space feels weird

Okay, my theory: Omegaα was the pet project of the guy in charge of the EN branch after he saw the success of Myth and A-chan. He tried to make it a thing, got the budget for a character design and the okay for a channel and a twitter account, and while he liked the idea, he was hesitant to actually stream. Maybe he was self-conscious, maybe he was a bit taken aback by the fans' teasing reaction to the hyper-chuuni lore he envisioned for council, maybe he just didn't have a concrete idea what to do after he did all the fun stuff of choosing a design and lore.
We know that there was a bit of a restructure in EN management a while ago which improved things for the talents, and I believe the person behind Omega left about the same time. He was probably also the driving force behind Project Hope, and we've all heard that this was basically left abandoned because no one really took over when the original person left, and IRyS just became a normal streamer (thankfully fully absorbed into Council even before they made it official). That also explains why no one took over the Omegaα account. It wasn't really a project conceived by Cover or Hololive, it was more an idea of one staff member who isn't there anymore.

I think the Omega was supposed to be representative for EN management like A chan but the idea was scrapped after Hololive reorganized and now the management is more centralized. It's the same reason why we have more collab and project between different branches.

I speculate that also goes together with iRys' lack of management for a long time and her eventual integration with Council . They had other plans with iRys but there was no capacity to manage that project. Probably Omega was thought as part of that, they reformed Council and Project Hope into Promise in the end to at least cover iRys and Omega fell of the side

One possible reason Omega didn't take off is probably A-chan improving her English so she could interact with the EN members. Before she was primarily a JP focused management figurehead that didn't really do any EN projects.

Omega was created to be the EN A-chan. However eventually there was no need for that with A-chan's improvements. I think the mistake was creating Omega's own channel instead of her just using the main EN Hololive channel. It may have been a good idea initially but it may also take away clout from the other EN members.

I’m not gonna lie I really think besides Omega having a cool concept and design that’s all they had going on. We really didn’t see them credited or appearing in many projects besides a small handful and all they did was tweet things out.

Also the talents really didn’t seem like they were really on board with the whole idea. It feels like they barely mentioned or bothered portraying Omega in a positive light at any point and so I personally think the original creator of the idea is no longer in hololive EN anymore. That or they simply were moved to some other part of the company and is not involved in the Omega project anymore. That’s what I’ve thought since they are no longer active and no talent has really bothered talking about Omega like at all or seem to care

It still hurts me that omega was never adopted by a talent or a manager like A-chan.
