I was running sound for a band playing in Mountain ND, 3 miles from the Cavalier Space Station. Mid song, the band stopped playing, ripped out their in ear wireless monitors, and started yelling at me. Someone came up to me and said, "They must have just cranked up the power to the radar".

I saw this title & started to roll my eyes then realized it was from the NDHS. Btw, from a Montana historian, I am extremely impressed by the NDHS. Wow they do great work!

Minuteman Security Supervisor here. When traveling from GFAFB to Alpha Zero with a new Security member, fresh from tech school, driving padt the PAR site we'd tell the newby that was a Moonies temple. A bit later we'd pass one of tge launch sites and say that had been a Hari Krishna temple. If we passed the main base at Nekoma, well that was where Jim Jones and his followers had been before going south and drinking the Kool Aid. Some of tge newbies believed it, too.

Just stumbled across this complex and had no idea this was a thing. I live by the NORAD bomarc site in north bay and it's similar but nothing of this scale. Very fascinating. Would love to see the power plant and or the radar control systems.

Trying to contact someone from the State Historical Society here. I'm a person who makes short youtube videos telling personal stories. I was hoping to use some footage of the Safeguard complex in one of my upcoming stories. The videos are entirely non-commercial. The video I'm working on right now is about the low-level existential anxiety people my age grew up with as kids in North Dakota. All the missile silos nearby, the duck and cover drills, etc. I wouldn't use more than a few seconds of your footage for a couple different spots. I would give you full credit for your footage. Please let me know. I'm happy to answer any questions you might have. Thanks.
