  i liked five so much more when he was a 60 year old in a 13 year old's body trying to prevent the apocalypse and kind of having a bloodlust problem

  the thing that got me was how SAD it was. diego and layla in an unhappy marriage. klaus being a sex trafficking victim. luther also turning to sex work. allison separated from her husband. and then what, they died? they all fucking killed themselves??

  The worst part of this season is that every. Single. Sibling. Feels like they’re being sidelined. How do you do that? How do you take such complex characters with such interesting relationship dynamics and make EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM feel like empty shells of themselves?

  And the fact that this whole show happens because Reginald wanted to get his wife back and we never really see them together or their back story. Like why did he go through all that just to bring her back. We needed to see their story and their relationship and we barely got anything from them.

  they absolutely destroyed fives character. he went from a smart ass with quick quips who loves his family to someone who rarely smiles or talks but chooses a woman over his family. also not caring about the apocalypse whatsoever until the last 5 minutes

  five and lila should of have gained a platonic relationship. Their dynamic wouldve been soo funny and cute. Five could’ve even talked to Lila and helped her reconcile her relationship with Diego. It would’ve completed Diego and Lilas arc while also reestablishing the love five has for his family thats often over looked

  The conclusion also felt weirdly insulting and like it was sending a terrible message. The whole show was about how different people struggle with their childhood trauma/abuse with each of them working to overcome it. And, honestly, that's a great message, showing that with the right people that your past traumas won't define you. Their powers were often symbolic of their pain and issues, with them mastering their powers being indicative of them regaining control/overcoming their horrible childhoods (clearly seen with Klaus and Viktor). But then the ending pulls a 180 and goes, "actually, all of you victims of child abuse who have been working so hard to overcome the horrors you faced, you're actually the real problem. So it's better for everyone if you never existed. BYE." What a twisted message.
