  This guy was a great leader of men. Get them trained in their jobs and then let them do it and then give credit where credit is due. That is a legendary leader. We definitely need more of those.

  Never underestimate what you can accomplish if you simply don't give a shit about anyone else's opinion. Lee got it done because nobody had the balls to try to fight him on it. You get those people once in a great while, and they generally end up being considered heroes. Occasionally villains, but they are for sure making moves and causing changes on the world stage.

  Man... I was waiting for you guys to react to one of my favorite videos of the Fat Electrician, one historical detail here, on the aftermath of the TAFFY 3 battle of Leyte gulf, Ching Lee was furious against Halsey because Halsey didn't detached his fast battleships fleet to protect the Surigao strait to protect the landing force in Leyte gulf, if Lee was in the Surigao strait when the Yamato and the rest of the Japanese surface ships were passing on the Surigao strait, that would had been an epic battle

  It&apos;s also wild this man was having papers published with really high level calculations that were novel at the time... Yet the military, of course, is like &quot;he can&apos;t even SEE!&quot; <br>Their vision was severely impaired to fail to recognize this genius.<br><br>But usually, they never fail to pretend they were why these men were so great the whole time when it becomes clear how instrumental they were.

  He must have been the inspiration of the ORI (Operation Readiness Inspection) routines we had to go through twice per year on the SAC bases I was on. The job was to have enlisted guys see if they can walk into and wander around in restricted areas on base. Somehow I got chosen for every one of them because I somehow could always get through by just having an honest face and a vacant look. Not a lot of fun when you finally get located. I really enjoy the Fat Electrician spots. Good choice.

  Just the things Lee did BEFORE he got the Washington earned him legend status as I’m certain WW2 would have been harder without the stuff he fast tracked past the Bureau of Bullshit, I mean Ordinance. Then getting the security where they should be.Also pretty sure the Commander of that cruiser was well within his rights to say ‘no I won’t be used for target practice even IF goal is to miss’ but he believed in Lees ability and let him do it, which says a whole lot in and of itself.<br><br>I have two video suggestions from Nick, one you may have already reacted to but I’m having trouble finding it. The Los Banos raid and the 77th infantry division.

  I too wear thick lenses. I used to do classic Triathlon which is swimming, cross-country horse jumping and pistol shooting. My first senior competition was at 13 up against the 18yo&apos;s. I had forgotten my glasses in the swimming changing room, so had to go into the shooting blind. My coach, looking with his binoculars, turned to my Mum and said &quot;Well at least he&apos;s hit the target&quot;. Hit the target? I came 2nd against the seniors.
