  The historical Chinese tribute system was not wealth extractive . In fact countries which paid tribute gave unique gifts which entralled the Emperor and the rewards from China was far greater than the value of the tribute. The Westerm tribute came in the form of colonial system  was wealth extraction  and destruction and slavery.

  The tributary system in Chinese history was reciprocal. Other countries presented tributes such as horses and furs to China, and China reciprocated with porcelain, tea and silk. This is unlike the United States, which seizes other nations’ oil and sells it as its own.

  The US always looks at all relationships as a battleground. Be it in their :<br>: inner racial groupings<br>: inner political system<br>: their financial systems<br>: their trading partners <br>: and even their Allies.<br>If Americans don&apos;t feel they are at the top they forever think something is wrong. &nbsp;<br>The US placing their military bases everywhere was more to enshrine its self-perceived view of being the top of the world hierarchy.<br>But the outer world is now tiring of this concept and is breaking away bit by bit.

  During the Ming Dynasty, Korea paid tribute to China, but China provided even more in return. This led to frequent tributes from Korea, and eventually the Ming Dynasty was forced to limit the number of times Korea could pay tribute each year.
