  Quite an interesting conversation. Duran Duran is one of the very few bands, almost 50 years into their career, still creating genuinely great new music. They’re legendary, yet somehow still feel like a cult favorite (a bit like the dearly missed Bowie and Prince, who managed to be both wonderfully unconventional and massively popular at the same time).<br><br>What I admire most is the consistency of their artistry. Their music hasn’t simply aged well; in every decade, they’ve produced work that stands among their best, and sometimes that era’s best (Ordinary World, to name just one song). Even during the roller-coaster lows, there were always exceptional songs. You can tell they’ve always been deeply invested in what they do. <br><br>They’ve always felt authentique. Every song, every stylistic shift, look, experimentation, risk, every album artwork… it has always seemed to come from them, not from someone else deciding who they should be. The real thing.

  Nick is a true &nbsp;gentlemen. Had the pleasure to chat with him at the Limelight in Chicago1986. The release party for Notorious. He was so cool and kind. I would love to chat with him again.

  I met Nick once backstage more than 15 years ago. &nbsp;He was engaging, thoughtful, bright and charming. &nbsp;I left feeling he&apos;s like James Bond haha. &nbsp;It was a great show and evening.
