The silence in the audience during his soliloquy is deafening. The audience was transfixed. That's what makes this sketch go from a banal, silly thing to pure excellence.

I can't even begin to count the number of guests on SNL who are so obviously reading off of the cue cards but Adam Driver doesn't. He brings it 100% like a pro. It's obvious that he takes it seriously and he is well prepared for his skits. He prepares for SNL the same way he would prepare for a multi million dollar movie. Respect.

Adam Driver is such a good actor, I was so enthralled by the monologue that I forgot that this is a comedy show and the twist punched me in the gut lmao.
