The tactical info is very helpful, but what really makes the content great is the transparency of the reality check, and the balance between planning and flexibility. 👏

Love this! I know you get a lot of recommendations, but don’t sleep on Sapa and Nihn Bin while you are in Vietnam! ❤ Incredible destinations that still stand out in our travels

I got a good chuckle from your comments re: FB. You were being honest but kind. For me, FB’s toxicity is just plain tedious. Instagram only for me. Keep up the great content.

I genuinely believe that the absolute best time to see and explore any destination, especially a summer destination, is in the off-season, unless you really want that peak summer heat. Off-season means that 80-90% of all tourists are gone, locals go back to work, youngster are back in school and the tourist prices go back to local prices. That's kind of my philosophy when I plan my trips, especially since I'm not a huge fan of temperatures above 80⁰F. Great video, great tips 👏🏻👏🏻 God bless

Thank you firstly. We enjoy watching every day and we call you our ‘friends’. It’s great to hear what you are going through as it makes sense and is close if not exact to what we have talked about. We are spoilt a little as we have family in England and I hold a UK passport so the Schengen shuffle is easier for us. We are even talking about owning a car and driving to these wonderful countries. Of course we will spend time in the USA with our American family too so that’s why we feel so attached to you guys. A lot of similarities for sure. Enjoy Asia and we will keep daily tabs on your experiences.

Great video that matches much of my experiences. Like you, I'm auditioning places as a possible longterm landing spot. I went to Torino, Italy because of travel convenience and fell in love with it. Sarajevo was an AI suggestion. I'm in Belgrade right now because I couldn't find a convenient way to get from Sarajevo to Albania. I did some research on Belgrade and decided, why not? That's one of joys I've found in my short time of slow travel--the pleasant surprises. I'm doing Southeast Asia starting in December. Happy travels!

I agree that traveling by region is the ideal approach, especially with shorter flights between destinations. We are also looking for places where we would like to return and stay long-term.

I always thought I was more of a beach person, but I ended up liking KLCC and Seoul much more than expected, and Da Nang less. While we enjoyed our time in Vietnam and plan to visit again, I don't see us living there long-term. In Da Nang, we stayed right across from the beach and went out for dinner near the Dragon Bridge a few times. I found it humorous when a local referred to that area as "Western Town," much like we in the West refer to areas as "Chinatown."

Great, video, thanks so much! We look at weather, culture, beauty, by the water, walkability...big fans of the Mediterranean...so we have done a lot of Greece, Italy, Spain, Portugal, and some France. Starting to get excited about our Valencia test drive...a month in October. Hoping we can find a gym!

    Welcome to Vietnam ✌️🫰🇻🇳❤️
A place where you can rediscover the lost fragments of both ancient Eastern and Western cultures—values that have yet to be fully appreciated in a single moment.
Thank you for sharing.

Wow we are literally doing the same countries! Japan to Vietnam to Thailand to Malaysia. October to mid June. Maybe Indonesia after. We are starting with the more affordable countries to see how it goes. We retire in 24 days!
