I’ve learned so much over the past seven months from watching your content after being laid off and uncertain about my ability to potentially retire early at 50 to not contribute. Really appreciate the openness, consumability, and comprehensive approach you take to financial literacy for the Lehman like me.

Erin, great and well-presented content as usual. It is great that you are so committed to making content, but please do pace yourself. We don't want you to get tired and burn-out.

As a retired teacher, I can say "You're crushing it!"
Explaining and comparing strategies with a clean summary and behavioral references is top-tier work.

My state pension and annuity cover a majority of my essential spending. The 401a is in 3 buckets. When I start SS, I could shift investments to a higher risk profile.

During my 40-year career, I designed my retirement to be "Income Floor Strategy" method. Two years-ago, I retired at age 63, and receive each month a private sector pension, a public sector pension, and applied for my social security at age 64. With these three fixed income sources all of my basic monthly needs are fully met. However, I also have a liquid net worth of $700,000, from my Rollover IRA, 457(b), and personal savings. (smile ... smile)

The emotional stability of the bucket strategy is easy to dismiss until you actually experience it. I've been retired for 9-months, and I knew that there would be emotional hurdles to overcome shifting from accumulation to preservation and distribution, but wow, it was a much higher hurdle than I expected. I'm grateful to have experience a period of high volatility early in my retirement because it helped me learn some lessons about emotional attachment early on, so I feel better prepared for future turbulence.

I prefer the strong income floor with a couple of buckets. When I retire, I want peace of mind.

MY retirement system can be summed up as a dynamic, 2 bucket, total return strategy with a strong income floor.

Erin this is a wonderful video and I learn soo much from you as a DIY investor without paying for a financial advisor. I also wish to add that I am working part time at age 75, loving what I do which is teaching senior adults in retirment communties. The money I earn in my post reitrement years closes the gap between my guaranteed income stream and also some of the money I earn is used to investment in a Roth IRA every year that I work. Thank you Erin and keep on making great videoes.
